The back end of your beef business, set up and run for you

Store, CRM, email, SMS, phone number and automations for ranches selling meat online. You raise the cattle and load the truck. We run the tools.

Selling beef direct means a store that takes deposits, a list that knows who bought a half and who is waiting for one, emails that bill the balance and remind people to bring coolers, a number that texts, and reports that say where the buyers came from. Most ranchers can set that up. Almost none have the hours to keep it running through a harvest. We set it up, run it and report on it. Pricing is scoped after a free call.

Who this is for

  • Ranches and small processors selling shares, boxes or cuts direct, on Shopify or moving there.
  • Operations where one person does sales, fulfillment and the books, and follow-up is the first thing dropped.
  • Ranches that paid for a CRM or email tool for a year and never built the automations.
  • Ranches on From the Farm that want the list, email and automations managed too.

What is included, by layer

Store. We open or repair the Shopify store: share products with a deposit and balance invoice, box and cut products with clear weights, local pickup on set days, shipping settings, and the free sync to Google Merchant Center.

CRM. One contact list, in Klaviyo on top of Shopify or in HubSpot’s free CRM, with the five tags a ranch needs: share buyer, box buyer, waitlist, pickup city or ships, and source. Every store order lands on the record; cash and market sales go in as draft orders.

Email and SMS. The five automations that sell the next share: reservation confirmation, balance due, pickup reminder (email two days out, text the morning of), abandoned checkout, and restock notice to the waitlist first. Plus one campaign a month that you approve before it sends. They are the sequences in our email sequences guide for beef shares.

Phone and texting. A business number, ported or new, that rings on your cell and a second person’s, with an auto-reply that sends the pickup address to “where do I go?” texts.

Automations. Every flow has an exit condition, so a buyer tagged “picked up” never gets a pickup reminder and a buyer who paid cash never gets a balance-due notice. Each flow is tested with a fake order before it goes live and re-tested after every harvest.

Analytics. Google Analytics 4, Search Console and Merchant Center connected, orders tied to their source.

What you still do

Approve every message before it sends. Answer the phone and the texts. Enter hanging weights when the processor calls. Tag orders “picked up” at the gate. Load the truck. Everything else above is ours.

How it is reported

One report a month, in plain language: orders and sales by source, shares reserved and balances collected, list growth, which automations fired, and the one thing we are changing next month. Before-and-after on every number. A call to go over it whenever you want one.

This is the back end we run for Diamond R Cattle, a Black Angus ranch in Independence, Kansas, on Shopify and Klaviyo. Comparing March 20 to April 18 against August 17 to September 15, 2026, in Shopify: sales went from $5,110 to $35,812, a 7x ratio, in about three months; beef shares from 0 to 11. Selected-period comparison: slowest 30 days before vs. best 30 days after. It does not isolate the effect of marketing.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be on Shopify?

No, but it is where we do our best work. Shopify runs deposits, balance invoices, pickup days, shipping and Google product listings without add-ons. On From the Farm we manage what the platform supports and confirm the rest with its team.

Who owns the accounts?

You do. The store, the Klaviyo or HubSpot account, the phone number and the Google accounts are opened in your name and stay yours if we part ways.

What does it cost?

It is scoped after the free call. The price depends on whether the store exists or has to be built, the size of the list, and whether you ship. You get a written scope with a monthly figure before you sign anything.

How long until the automations are running?

The five core automations are usually live within the first month, each tested against a fake order before it sends to a customer. Anything tied to a harvest date is re-checked the week before that harvest.

Is this the same as your marketing service?

No. This is the back end: the tools that take the order, message the buyer and report the numbers. SEO, city pages, product copy and ads are the marketing side, described on our meat e-commerce program page.
