Agriculture Marketing Agency and From the Farm
From the Farm is a platform where farms and ranches sell direct to consumers online. Agriculture Marketing Agency runs the marketing side of its Farm Direct Pro program. Together, the pair covers the two things a direct-selling ranch needs and rarely gets from one place: a store built for farm products, and marketing that gets it found and sold.
Who does what
From the Farm: the platform
Founded by AJ Richards, From the Farm is where a farm or ranch opens its store and sells direct to the families who buy from it. It is built for farm products, not adapted from a store built for t-shirts: live-animal shares with a deposit, weights on every listing, pickup and delivery, frozen shipping rates at checkout, and subscriptions on Premium, per its own producers page.
Agriculture Marketing Agency: the marketing
Through Farm Direct Pro, we run the marketing for farms on the platform: search optimization, blogging, email, social coaching, and managed Facebook ads with retargeting. The same work we do for ranches on Shopify, applied to From the Farm stores.
Why a marketing agency partnered with a platform
Most ranches that sell direct get stuck in the same place. The store works, but nobody outside the family’s Facebook friends can find it. The share pages do not rank in the towns the ranch delivers to. The email list is a spreadsheet. The one ad campaign brought visitors who did not buy.
A platform cannot fix that on its own, and a marketing agency cannot fix a store it has no hand in. Pairing the two means a ranch gets a store that already handles how farm products are sold, and a marketing team that knows how to fill it. At Diamond R Cattle, a ranch on Shopify, that marketing work took beef shares from 0 to 11 between two selected 30-day periods (selected-period comparison: slowest 30 days before vs. best 30 days after; it does not isolate the effect of marketing). The same program runs for farms on From the Farm.
Do you have to use From the Farm to work with us?
No. We work with the store you have. Diamond R sells on Shopify and stayed there. If you are choosing a platform, our guide to the best platform for selling beef online compares From the Farm, Shopify, GrazeCart, Barn2Door and Local Line with fees worked out at a real sales level, and says plainly where each one fits.
What Farm Direct Pro marketing covers
- Search optimization for the store and for every town the farm delivers to
- Blogging that answers the questions buyers ask before they order
- Email: welcome, reservation, balance-due, pickup and restock follow-up
- Social coaching, so the farm’s own posts sell without a paid boost
- Managed Facebook ads with retargeting, shown to people who already visited
On the platform side, From the Farm’s own producers page (September 26, 2026) lists: pre-selling live animals as halves, quarters and wholes with the option of a non-refundable deposit; product listings with photos and weights; card checkout with payouts to your bank; local pickup and delivery settings; shipping rates at checkout through its eHub integration, capped at two-day delivery with cold pack and dry ice weight counted, and a checkout notice that producers do not ship frozen items after Tuesday; subscriptions and CSA boxes on Premium; and a marketplace listing, or your own domain on Premium. Ask From the Farm directly for current details.
Questions
Is From the Farm free?
There is a free store at $0 a month, with a 3 percent platform fee charged to the customer at checkout, standard card processing, and a 10 percent commission on shipping. Premium, on your own domain, is $119 a month or $1,188 a year (a $500 one-time build fee applies on the monthly plan). Source: producers.fromthefarm.org, September 26, 2026. Who do I contact for the platform, and who for marketing?
Platform questions go to From the Farm. Marketing questions, for a store on any platform, go to us: 435-212-0136 or book a free call.
Do you recommend From the Farm to every farm?
No. It fits farms that want a store built for farm products and a marketplace where shoppers already look for local food. A ranch building its own brand with heavy email marketing may be better on Shopify. We say which in the free review.
